Here you will find answers to the most common questions about booking, capacity, technology, catering, logistics and the implementation of events at Rebel .

Booking and capacity

Rebel suitable for conferences, seminars, workshops, meetups, courses, fairs, award ceremonies, digital events, podcasts and social events such as summer parties, kickoffs and Christmas parties.

Our premises can also be adapted to combine professional events during the day with social events or dinners in the evening.

Rebel offers course and conference rooms with a capacity for up to 350 people. You can also combine multiple rooms and parallel sessions for events with up to 800 participants in total.

We also have event/party rooms with the following capacities:

  • Rebel Expo: up to 350 people
  • SKRAA : up to 200 seated guests
  • Rebel Hangout: up to 345 people spread over two floors
  • Rebel Roof: up to 120 people in the summer months

Yes. Rebel is well suited for events with multiple parallel sessions. You can combine the main hall(s) with breakout rooms for group work, parallel tracks or catering in separate areas such as SKRAA .

Are you a registered user of Rebel , you can also book meeting rooms directly via our service platform . We are happy to help create users if needed.

We recommend booking well in advance, especially if the event is to be held on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. At the same time, we have several different rooms and can often arrange several events in parallel.

It is therefore always worth contacting us, even at short notice.

Before the event

Yes, you can book a non-binding inspection directly via our inspection booking page .

During the inspection, we will help you with recommendations for halls and settings for the event. For new customers who have not been with us before, we are happy to offer an inspection to find the best solution.

Yes, we can assist with event planning. After booking, you will be assigned a dedicated project manager who will follow you through to the event and ensure that everything goes as planned.

Rebel offers conference rooms, meeting rooms, course rooms, event and party rooms as well as a bar. In the summer months we also have an outdoor roof terrace that can be rented.

In addition, we have a collaboration with the arcade and gaming bar Chiruto, which is located in the same building.

Prices and packages

The price depends on the size of the room, technical needs and how long the event lasts. We offer breakfast, half-day and full-day packages, but it is also possible to rent the premises without choosing a package.

Prices are dynamic, and we can often tailor a solution to fit your budget, especially for events on Mondays and Fridays.

Yes, we offer complete conference packages that can include venue rental, standard AV equipment, technical support and catering such as lunch, coffee and snacks.

Standard rental includes the technical equipment provided in the hall, such as AV equipment, screens, microphones, speakers and wireless guest network.

The equipment varies slightly from room to room, but all of our rooms are equipped to hold courses, conferences and presentations. You will also be assigned a dedicated project manager as your contact person.

We have most of the technical equipment in-house, and technical assistance from our technicians can be requested if needed.

Food and dining

All catering is provided by our in-house catering agency, The Food Hub. They offer food tailored to your event, whether you want breakfast before the conference, lunch en route, or a three-course banquet dinner.

Our chefs are creative and flexible, and can adapt the menu if you have special wishes or needs.

No. Rebel has its own catering license and regular food suppliers, and bringing food and drinks into our premises is therefore not allowed.

Yes. We always adapt the menu for allergies, as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free needs, provided this is notified in advance.

Yes, Rebel has its own event bar and restaurant, SKRAA , with space for up to 200 seated guests. The venue has full rights and offers both food and beverage service.

With flexible solutions such as curtains, the room can also be made more intimate, making it suitable for smaller groups. In addition, we have portable bars that can be set up elsewhere in the house.

We also have a collaboration with the arcade bar Chiruto and the pizza restaurant Stykke Pizza , both of which are located in the same building.

Technology and streaming

Rebel is a technology house and offers market-leading equipment, including high-resolution LED walls, professional sound systems, wireless microphones and technical support.

Yes. We specialize in hybrid meetings and streaming, and our mobile rigs make it possible to stream content from all of our conference rooms.

In addition, we have a fully equipped studio with the possibility of recording, live broadcasting and podcasting. Read more about Rebel Studio and digital events .

Yes. Rebel has a robust and fast wireless network, sized for a large number of simultaneous users.

Yes, technical personnel will be available throughout the event. For courses and other events that do not require continuous technical assistance, you will be assigned a technical manager who you can contact if needed.

Location, accessibility and logistics

Rebel located in Universitetsgata 2, right by St. Olavs plass in central Oslo, just a few minutes' walk from Karl Johans gate, hotels and public transport.

Rebel is within walking distance of Nationaltheatret station by train, Flytog and metro. Tram lines 17, 18 and 19 stop right nearby, and several bus lines also go within a short walk.

We recommend public transportation, but if necessary, there are several parking garages within walking distance, including Edderkoppen P-hus and Sentrum P-hus.

Yes, Rebel has a hotel agreement that gives guests access to discounted rates in connection with events. Contact us for details.

Yes. Rebel is universally designed with step-free access, elevators to all floors and adapted toilet facilities.

Yes, this can be agreed with the project manager. If the event requires a lot of time for set-up or tear-down, we recommend that this is communicated early so that we can reserve the premises for you.

Yes, this can be agreed with the project manager as part of the planning.

Layout, flexibility and profiling

Depending on the hall, we can offer cinema, class room , group tables, round tables or long table See the various rooms in the conference room overview for capacity and layout.

Yes. Our team can rearrange the room layout along the way if you want a new room layout or want to remove tables and chairs.

Yes. You can promote the venue with rollups, banners, screen content and other branding as long as it is returned after the event.

We also collaborate with branding partners and can assist with ordering decorations and other embellishments.

All events that are open to everyone will receive a separate, free listing in Rebel's event calendar . Please send promotional material to the project manager when this is ready.

Promotion of the event in advance on digital platforms within Rebel is available as an additional service.

Participant experience

Yes, all of our course and conference rooms have access to a mingling area for break service.

Yes, changing rooms are available in connection with all of our course and conference rooms.

Yes, we have the opportunity to set up areas for participant registration at several of our entrances.

Terms and cancellation

We follow standard industry norms for cancellation. Detailed terms are stated in the booking confirmation. As a general rule, we have a two-week deadline to lock in the minimum number.
