JavaZone invites kids to Rebel Oslo on Sunday, August 31st for a fun and hands-on tech day with coding, robotics, and 3D design. It’s free to attend and open to curious kids from 10-17 years old.
There will be three parallel workshops tailored to different age groups and interests. Each participant chooses one and must bring their own laptop. Parents and guardians must stay at Rebel during the event — we’ll have a cozy hangout space and coffee waiting. Lunch is included. Sign-up closes August 10.
Workshops
Workshop 1: BitBot XL – Self driving car (12-17 years)
Program a BitBot XL to sense its surroundings and follow a line — without crashing. How fast can you make it go and still stay on track?
Workshop 2: Ready to build your own robot? (12-17 years)
Build and program an mBot with Python. Flash lights, play sounds, dodge obstacles, and go on wild robot side quests.
Workshop 3: Learn to design 3D figures to 3D printing (10+ years)
Use Tinkercad to create your own 3D models and print them in your favorite colors. Includes bonus tools for Minecraft-style building fun.
